K&N's AirCharger Performance Kits are designed to be less restrictive compared to the stock air management system. Low restriction air filters provide quicker throttle response and more power throughout the RPM range. Additionally, it is important to note, if the stock air cleaner box has emission control devices and/or hoses attached, these parts MAY NOT be re-installed on a new AirCharger assembly.
K&N Fuel Injection Kits FIPK combines a precision high flow K&N air filter element with other necessary components, depending on the specific application. K&N's Generation II represents yet another evolution in air intake technology. These breakthrough engineering designs contain all the performance improvements you expect from K&N. During testing using the K&N FIPK kit on a Jeep Grand Cherokee we had repeat gains of 26.3 horsepower. We also have dyno test results showing torque increases through the towing ranges of no less than 23 ft/lbs (torque measurement).
The K&N replacement air filters are designed to provide up to a 4% increase in horsepower and torque. The amount of performance gain varies from vehicle to vehicle based on the overall factory air intake design. The greater the restriction created by the stock paper element, the greater the potential performance gain when you switch to a K&N. They fit right into the standard OEM air box. No modifications are required by the owner. All of the filters are washable and reusable. They can be easily cleaned and oiled using our K&N recharger kits and returned to your vehicle up to 25 times.
The K&N Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to provide cooler, denser air to the engine for increased performance. It is a direct replacement for the restrictive OE air box and the constrictive factory air filter and inlet tract. Using the most advanced airflow management technology, K&N has optimized the flow characteristics of the K&N Typhoon Air Intake System to complement its high-flow filter charger.
